LunitaLa vecina nueva · The new kid

Our host · 6 years old

Her real name is Luna, but her abuela calls her Lunita, “little moon,” because she was born under a full moon. Curious first, a little shy, and brave when it counts. She asks “¿por qué?” about everything.

  • Her silver moon clip glows every time she learns a new word.
  • Braids woven with a magenta listón, gold arracadas and a big dahlia.
  • Extra kind to anyone new, because she knows how it feels.

When Lunita learns a new word, her clip lights up with a little chime. That is how kids know: we just learned something.

¡Tu turno! Your turn!

A friend looks right at the camera and waits, smiling, so your little one can say the word out loud.

Episode 1Lunita Llega · Lunita Arrives

Lunita moves onto a sleepy little street that has never had a name, because the neighbors could never agree on one. She is nervous nobody will want to be her friend. Mamá shares a secret: “Solo di hola... y tu nombre.” Just say hello, and your name.

She meets Pico, Doña Tula and shy Mimi. Then the only streetlight goes out, and Lunita tells everyone to look up. The full moon lights the whole lane. That night, the neighbors finally agree on a name.
